Kate's been working hard to refine the designs for her InkyBobbin venture. This week sees the first samples of fabric and paper being printed. The green colour was screen printed onto fabric with a second hot pink colour being added with the use of a little hand made rubber stamp.
There's some interesting projects in the pipeline at the Printshed. One being a series of pattern designs by Kate that were loosely based on seed pods and other bits of plants and flowers. It's developed into a cohesive range covering areas including fabric and stationary.
This is what the studio looks like after a lick of paint and a bit of elbow grease. After just a couple of months in residence the studio is already crammed with printing screens, reference books, paper, pens, pencils, odd buttons, pots of paint and much much more.
