Doodles and rough work - creating some ideas

There's some interesting projects in the pipeline at the Printshed. One being a series of pattern designs by Kate that were loosely based on seed pods and other bits of plants and flowers. It's developed into a cohesive range covering areas including fabric and stationary.

AFTER!

This is what the studio looks like after a lick of paint and a bit of elbow grease. After just a couple of months in residence the studio is already crammed with printing screens, reference books, paper, pens, pencils, odd buttons, pots of paint and much much more.

BEFORE

Printshed is the studio space of Nikalas Catlow and Kate Clarke, Situated on Peckham common. The space is used for illustration, creating children's books, screen printing, fabric and stationary design. Because Printshed is a creative space we've tried to make it a 'home from home', a place to drop in and have a cup of tea. These pictures were taken when we first moved in, back in May, during the cleaning and painting. We even have a special Printshed song that goes 'Print-shed, Print-shed! RAH RAH RAH!'
